Sell Your Car & Part Exchange Terms
The terms that apply when you sell your car to REV or part exchange it.
About These Terms
These terms apply when you submit a vehicle to REV LTD (Company No. 16158585), Unit 1 East Hall Lane, Rainham, RM13 9DS, United Kingdom for valuation, whether you are selling directly to REV or part exchanging against a REV vehicle. Nothing in these terms reduces or removes your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. For independent advice about your consumer rights, visit the Citizens Advice website at citizensadvice.org.uk.
Online Valuation
Any valuation provided through our website is indicative unless we expressly state that it is a final offer. An indicative valuation is an estimate based on the information you provide and market data. It is not a binding offer to purchase your vehicle.
Valuation Basis
Our valuation is based on your vehicle registration, declared mileage, market data and the information you provide about your vehicle's condition and history. The valuation may change if the information you provide is inaccurate or if the vehicle is found to be different on physical inspection.
Customer Declarations
You must provide accurate and truthful information about your vehicle, including mileage, condition, damage and any outstanding finance. Providing false or misleading information may invalidate any offer and could result in a revised or withdrawn valuation.
Vehicle Ownership
You must be the legal owner of the vehicle, or you must have the authority of the legal owner to sell it. You must have the right to sell the vehicle free of any encumbrance, or you must disclose any outstanding finance (see below).
Outstanding Finance
If the vehicle has outstanding finance, you must disclose this before or at the time of valuation. We may assist with settlement of finance as part of the transaction, but the final purchase price may be adjusted to reflect the settlement amount.
Verification by REV
We may verify the identity of the seller, the vehicle's history, mileage and any outstanding finance. This may include checks through third-party services. We reserve the right to decline a purchase if verification reveals information that was not disclosed or is materially different from what was declared.
Physical Inspection
The final purchase price may change after physical inspection if your declarations were materially inaccurate. We will inform you of any revised offer before proceeding. You are not obliged to accept a revised offer.
Offer Validity & Expiry
Any offer we make will state its validity period. Offers expire after the stated period. If an offer expires, you may request a new valuation, but it may differ from the previous offer.
Payment Process
If you accept our offer, payment will be made by bank transfer to your nominated account. Payment is typically processed within a few working days of vehicle collection or handover and completion of all required documentation.
Ownership Transfer
Ownership of the vehicle transfers to REV when payment has been made and all required documentation is completed, including the V5C registration document. You must provide all keys, documentation and accessories agreed as part of the sale.
Fraudulent or Misleading Information
If you provide fraudulent or misleading information about your vehicle, we may withdraw or revise any offer. We may also report fraudulent activity to the relevant authorities.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection law provides you with the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you reside.
